Before you start – the most common questions

Can I plan a train trip between several cities?

Yes. Add your station cities as stops, set "train" as the mode of transport for each leg and arrange the order yourself. The planner suggests train connections with travel time and links to Omio, where you can check times and tickets.

How do I compare different routings?

Set up several city combinations and look at them on the map. From the nights per stop and the suggested travel times you quickly see which route flows well and where detours or long legs come up.

Where do I keep train numbers, departure times and reservations?

Every connection has a notes field – there you enter the train number, departure/arrival time, carriage and seat reservation. That way everything is bundled with the relevant leg and right there when you open the trip.

Can I plan scenic routes?

Sure – add the scenic route you want as its own leg and note the highlights (viewpoints, photo stops) in the notes field. There are no automatic scenic-route suggestions, but you can deliberately build any route in as a highlight.

Is the trip planner really free?

Yes, completely. Plan trips, build your route, calculate your budget, create a timetable and share it – all at no cost and with no limits. We only earn from optional booking links (e.g. Booking, Omio, Skyscanner) if you actually use them.

Can I plan a trip together with other people?

Yes. Open "Share" on a saved trip, create a password-protected collaborator link and send it to your travel companions. Anyone who opens the link and knows the password becomes a co-owner and can edit the route, stops, timetable and budget with you. Changes sync in real time.

What does the AI do in the planner – and what doesn't it?

You describe your trip in the chat and the AI builds a complete draft from it (stops, overnight stays, a rough timetable) straight into the editor. After that you're in control: everything can be changed by hand. The AI doesn't book anything and doesn't give live prices – it's your idea generator and quick start.

Do I have to register?

Not to try it out – pick a planner and get going right away. To save permanently and keep editing later you need a free account. Anything you created as a guest is automatically linked to your account once you sign in.
